2020 WIPTW #1 - Post Apoc and Other Models

Nearly there for the first big batch of painted models.

This collection is the Post apoc / zombie game models i painted a generic models.

Flashheart

From the Giants in Miniature range by Wargames Illustrated ( I also have the Leonidas). just awesome models. no real use for it, but a big Rik Mayall fan from way back, so it was nice to be able to paint up a character of his. I would love to see an edmund blackadder figure as well (i know others have done them but i want sculpted as well as GIM do).

Female Survivor

From the Warlord games Female Survivor box. i dont know why i like the tennis racket so much but frankly if you were in the zombie apocalypse you would grab whatever you could.

Karl

From the The Others - 7 Sins game. Just an amazing model. So ridiculous, which makes him so cool. There is also a Werewolf version of this guy, so i am going to paint him as well. I use this guy as a tough guy in my Last Days gang with a big sword.

Eagle

Another Others model. Reminds me of Nick Noltes Character in Angel has Fallen. he is meant to be a scifi model, with the cap being some metal thing with lights, but it does not come through in the sculpt, so it was easy enough to paint as a beanie. I use him as an outdoorsman with a bow in Last Days.

Freya

From the Others - 7 Sins, Sons of Ragnarok expansion. Fun to paint, those models can be a bit fiddly to clean, but a new scalpel blade is critical. The rune on her back is the Rune of Freya.

She is not in my gang yet, but if i get more members she will be in.

Car 1

This is the Luxury 4x4 from Kore Aeronautics. i backed their Kickstarter and while some of the models were messed up, this one came up ok. i did a review of the cars last year (here), and the company is replacing the messed up ones, when they send me my next KickStarter for their Scifi Cars.

Normally i weather the cars up a lot, but decided to keep this one pristine (i have a lot of weathered ones), so went for a gloss coverage. the windows are tricky so i just use a contrast paint to give the impression. its not great but for something that will be basically terrain, its fine.

After this i just need to post the terrain i have completed, and then we will back to a more regular schedule. this week is not going to be as crazy as the fist few of the year.
