Partial Update

Trying to get organised to get back onto regular updates, since i finished the Armies on Parade stuff.

I got super motivated and finished off the rest of the 20 block, it was so nice painting different models rather than all GW.

once i did that, i realised my next 20 block was not actually ready (though it is now) so i did another pallete cleaners of Blacklist minis stuff, this time with the Wildboars, which was easy and fun and then i painted a unit of Nightswatch veterans for ASOIAF, a game i dont even like.

such cool models and i was able to do them all with contrast/Instant colours and highlights.

Currently working my way through the Punk Gang from judge Dredd and then i will mix up the 20 block with a bunch of models for Stargrave so i have all the wandering monsters i need.

Some changes:

20 Blocks - i really enjoy these as i get to paint a variety and as mentioned before i get to at least do a little work on a lot of projects. but i am currently not minding focusing to one thing as much. So i have done up some hobby boxes for smaller projects i can do between 20 blocks (or when they are boring me). currently i have my new judges, a squad of abberrants, more Nights watch the colonial marines from GF9 and others. i may not do these ones but they are the current ones i like.

Painting Nights - i paint most nights but to make sure i dont lag in any one area i am mixing it up. Fridays i do terrain, i am usually tired from a work week and terrain is less intensive. Sunday i do basing and prep. i usually finish earlier to get ready for work so this is a light night. and the other nights i will paint models. I have a desk for painting, one for basing and assembly and one for terrain and i roll them out for the night. I need to fix up the desks still but they work for now.

Painting room - my workshop is coming together and its getting easier to get to my stuff so i am more efficient. still have shelves to buy, boxes to sort and im in no rush but its nice to be working on this.

Photos - I often work Sundays, so trying to do a bunch of photos in one day is not working. So i am setting up my booth and camera etc and will aim to edit one model a night so that by sunday its all ready to go.

So as the year comes to a close, i feel like i am getting good hobby in, and its getting easier as i dont have to redo the entire room each time i want to change up.

Aiming to get over 300 models done before New Years and i am on track i think to get a lot higher than that.

Below is a pic of my nights watch, will do a proper update and better photo next week.
